Many engineering related activities are required 24 hours per day. We decided to check out the operation of a wastewater treatment plant at 2:00 am to confirm this observation. Prior to visiting the plant, we went bowling. Afterwards, we ate breakfast at International House of Pancakes (IHOP) where, to our surprise, we learned that many other activities appear to be happening on a 24 hour per day basis. We then played basketball until dawn.
