NATIONAL TECHNICAL AWARDS

 
Geo/Environmental Associates won the National Ground Water Association's (NGWA) 1999 Outstanding Ground Water Remediation Project Award in recognition of the In-situ Bioreactor for Ground Water & Free Product Recovery on a Tennessee Superfund VOAP Site Treatment System Project in Alcoa, Tennessee. The award recognizes outstanding engineering innovation in the area of remediating ground water. NGWA headquartered in Ohio held its annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee on December 3-6, 1999. Carol Goldinger Ford, Project Manager, accepted the award on behalf of GA at the conference.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION


Carol Goldinger Ford, PG was presented the Alcoa Environmental Remediation Award for Individual Excellence in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 22, 1999. This award "recognizes exemplary performance, on both an individual and team basis, which contributes to the success of Strategic Partnership."
    

 GA was a Merit Award Winner in the 2000 Engineering Excellence Competition of the Consulting Engineers of Tennessee for the entry "Groundwater Clean-up Using In-Situ Bioremediation."
