ASFE: PROFESSIONAL FIRMS PRACTICING
IN THE GEOSCIENCES

SEMINAR OBJECTIVE

Your field personnel meet with your clients on a daily basis during construction. As a result, the reputation of your firm with clients is based in large part on the quality of services provided by your field representatives and technicians. Litigation involving design firms often results due to problems that develop during construction being monitored by their field personnel. Therefore, firms can enhance their reputation and reduce their exposure to litigation by providing their field representatives and technicians with formal continuing education training. This seminar gives field personnel and their supervisors information that will enhance their skills by understanding their role and the role of their firm during construction.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

The seminar leader is John Philip Bachner, president of Bachner Communications, the firm that has been providing management services to ASFE since 1973, and which has been the organization's risk management consultant since the late 1970s. John is a highly regarded speaker and seminar leader known for in-depth knowledge of his topic and an irreverent (but highly effective) teaching style. John is also an author, including in his bibliography Practice Management for Design Professionals (John Wiley and Sons) and Marketing and Promotion for Design Professionals (Van Nostrand Reinhold), as well as numerous ASFE "classics" such as Expert, Contract Reference Guide, ADR for the Construction Industry, and the ASFE Professional Liability Loss Prevention Education Program. Add to this about 150 other manuals, texts, and guides, plus more than 750 published articles, and you can understand why this seminar is an opportunity you shouldn't pass up.
