| Assessment of residual liquid/sludge in an underground storage tank revealed the presence of an oily water storage tank. Excavation and an intact extraction of the tank was completed adjacent to exterior building wall. Once the tank was removed, soil sampling below the bottom of the tank was required to determine if a spill had previously occurred. The tank was moved to a demolition area where the top half of the fiberglass tank was removed. The remaining sludge was recovered and sampled for analytical testing. The tank was steam cleaned and staged for proper disposal. | ![]()
