After completing the environmental assessment report and corrective action report on this facility, a definitive corrective action option was decided upon, approved by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), and implemented. A modified pump and treat system was chosen to remove the upper layer of contaminated groundwater and floating free product. General operation and maintenance of the remediation system is necessary to continue recovering contaminated groundwater and free product efficiently.
