Mr. Arwood has over thirteen years experience as a civil and geotechnical engineer. The majority of his experience has been in coal refuse slurry impoundment design including geotechnical, hydrologic, and hydraulic analysis and design as well as construction monitoring. He has extensive experience in the preparation of emergency action plans for slurry impoundments and ash disposal facilities. He is also experienced in slope stability evaluations including rockfall hazard mitigation. Mr. Arwood is proficient in many computer design and analysis models including PCSTABL, GEO-SLOPE Finite Element and Slope Stability Models, SEDCAD Hydrologic and Sedimentology model, HMR52 Probable Maximum Storm Model, HEC-1 Flood Hydrograph Package, DAMBRK, and HEC-RAS Water Surface Profile Models.
